CEO AND CO-FOUNDER
Glen is responsible for the overall management of Serene Capital's property funds, focusing on investor relations, strategy development, debt and capital management, acquisitions and disposal of assets.
With over 20 years experience in the Australian funds management and property industries, Glen has held a variety of senior management positions encompassing fund establishment, capital raising, unit holder liaison, debt and capital management, tax and corporate structuring, developing and delivering fund strategies, acquisition and divestments, insurance claim management and team development.
Prior to joining Serene Capital, Glen was the fund manager of Eureka’s Core Property Fund 3, the best performing unlisted wholesale property fund for the 5 years to 30 June 2014 returning 18.5% per annum. Holding a mixture of office, retail and hotel investments, Glen has been responsible for implementing fund and capital management strategies for the fund, unit holder and asset consultant liaison.
Glen is the Co-Chairperson of the PCA Asset Management Education Committee. He was the inaugural Chairperson of the IPD Hotel Advisory Committee. Prior to joining Eureka, Glen held various roles at Colonial First State Property, including the asset management of hotels in the Commonwealth Property Hotel Fund (CPHF). He has also had extensive experience in valuation and research of hotels during three and a half years at Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, valuing over $2.5 billion in hotel and other tourism related assets.
Louise Tabone is jointly responsible for the asset management of Serene Capital's hotels. Louise has over 18 years experience in the hotels sector across funds management, valuation, agency, advisory and property research. Louise brings a significant level of knowledge and experience to our team.
Prior to joining Serene Capital, Louise was a Director of Savills Hotels. Her role included preparation of hotel market demand assessments, feasibility and positioning studies, hotel brokerage, operator selections and management agreements/ lease negotiations. While at Savills Louise advised on over $1 billion of potential hotel and serviced apartment projects.
Whilst at Colonial First State Global Asset Management Louise developed Fund strategy and business plans for a hotel fund comprising 1,345 rooms. Her 7 years saw her involved in all elements of funds management and asset management of the portfolio including the divestment of the portfolio at a then record price.
Louise is a Registered Real Estate Agent, a Certified Practising Valuer, an Associate Member of the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSA) and a member of the Australian Property Institute.
Lynn Liang is responsible for the oversight and management of Serene Capital's second property fund which contains the Ibis Budget Perth Airport across asset management, debt structuring, and investor liaison. Lynn is also involved in the asset management of properties within Serene Capital's main property fund.
Lynn brings a diverse and valuable skill set to the team with over 15 year's experience in senior management roles in Institutional and corporate finance, development management, asset management and advisory.
Prior to joining Serene Capital, Lynn managed relationships with sophisticated property investors at Bankwest and Westpac advising on debt and capital management strategies for large scale development and investment transactions across all property asset classes. Lynn has also held development and asset management roles in the private sector, successfully initiating strategies for acquiring, divesting, financing, structuring and creating value.
Lynn has a deep understanding of cross-border capital flows having worked alongside international public and private corporate and institutional clients, private equity, fund managers and REITS to identify and acquire Australian real estate assets.
Lynn holds a Bachelor of Business, is a Registered Real Estate Agent and is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
Andrew Brandon is jointly responsible for the asset management of the Serene Capital hotels portfolio including the provision of analytical support. Andrew has a breadth of experience across all facets of funds management including acquisitions, divestments, unit holder liaison, analysis, strategy development and asset management.
Prior to joining Serene Capital, Andrew spent 6 years at Eureka Funds Management working in various roles supporting a hotel, office and industrial mandate. During his time at Eureka, Andrew assisted in the management of the divestment of the portfolio both through individual sales as well as a portfolio sale.
Andrew also developed detailed experience at Challenger across fixed income, currency and equities in the area of risk attribution analytics.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics and Econometrics, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finan ce and Investment, and a Diploma in Asset Management.
